Here's one of my favorite banjo's I've had through the shop here at Ceres. If a Prewar Style 75 isn't rare enough...just factor in a period correct "shiny face" full weight, high profile, 20-hole tone ring from the same era fitted to it! The ring has been double authenticated by Curtis McPeake and Steve Huber. This banjo is extremely responsive and has THE tone you'd expect. F.O.N. FA-5104 puts this one right at 1940. The later Prewars had fantastic quality hardware and this one bears that out for sure. The resonator was over sprayed at some point and has the F.O.N. chalked inside. The original tenor neck bearing the factory order number is with the banjo. The 5-string mahogany neck is from Frank Neat with a wreath peg head and leaves and bows fret board. I have a Letter of Appraisal that shows a value higher than this listing as well. If you have any questions at all or desire additional pictures, don't hesitate to ask.
