Gibson Prewar Banjo

FON 157-41.

This is a killer OP conversion Banjo which has been restored with newer flange, armrest And a refinished resonator. The neck is a high quality strain grain maple 5 string conversion neck made by Wyatt Fawley. Has aftermarket tuners on the neck but will come with Grover patent prewar pancake tuners. Spikes installed on 7th & 9th fret.

The frets are basically untouched with minimal wear.

The heart of this banjo which have Prewar parts are the Rim, re-finished Resonator, "e2" tension hoop, most of the hooks and nuts and a Grover patent tailpiece that was drilled to be a five string.

Added coordinator rod, a 20 hole nickel plated Mitch .38 special tone ring installed by Mitch Meadors himself. This is a powerful full tone banjo.

This banjo is set up and ready to go and plays and sounds great! This comes with a very clean Gibson case.

This has a new frosted head which is set to G#.

This banjo has been set up for power and to produce some bang and is very loud.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Will consider trades.
