For Sale: 2004 Crafters of Tennessee Mahogany Archtop

For sale is a mahogany archtop designed and built by Mark Taylor of Crafters of Tennessee. This banjo has a lot of power and clarity. Mark Taylor built into this banjo a very comfortable thinner profiled neck and a pot assembly that seems to be less deep than those of other banjos which probably attributes to the sound. A very comfortable banjo to play.
The neck has been speed finished. It has a 3-ply maple rim fitted with a no-holed tone ring, original Presto tailpiece, and original tuners. There is absolutely no pitting on any of the plated parts. Tarnish should easily buff out. It appears that at one time the neck had a Shubb 5th string capo installed and the screws were broken during removal. They have been filed flush to the binding. There are a couple places where the finish has chipped from the binding and there are some indentations from a Kyler capo on the back of the peghead. Some obvious fret wear on 1-5, but plenty of fret available for a resurface/recrown. Spikes @ 7,9 & 10. Comes with very plush Recording King arched hard shell case in excellent condition. I will pay all domestic shipping charges and welcome any and all questions. Thank you for looking.
