This Gibson Style 4 F.O.N. 276-20 dates to around 1935 and has been converted to a 5-string many years ago with a mahogany neck from legendary luthier John Monteleone. Featuring flying eagle inlay and a Brazilian fretboard and original Grover 2-band tuners, this neck has a fantastic profile and feels great. The Prewar hardware is in beautiful condition with chrome plating. The prewar Doehler flange is nickel plated. The resonator shows concentric rings with Style 5 purfling (Seen on other Style 4's in this 276 batch) and has been refinished. Also at some point the sidewall had a custom purfling added as well (factory??). The rim remains un-cut with the full Mastertone label and a Ceres chrome plated conversion ring is installed. The original 40-hole archtop tone ring is included in the sale. If you have any questions or desire additional pictures, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking.
