For Sale: 1989 Gibson Custom Shop Walnut Gold w/Video

This 1989 Gibson is a One-Of-A-Kind from Greg Rich and Nick Kimmons at Gibson. This banjo was built for Bryan England who was a Gibson employee at the time. Bryan's own work has been well known for decades now with his company Custom Inlay. The walnut neck features the custom "flying eagle" pattern that actually existed with Gibson in the Prewar days but had been put aside. The resonator is also walnut with concentric rings unlike the Style 4 which had yet to be re-issued. The metal is all gold plated and was custom engraved by Greg Rich. The tone ring is a Kulesh 10-hole from Greg Rich and was installed by Bryan. This banjo shows a bit of wear seen in the pictures as it was played over the years but obviously well taken care of and in fantastic condition. Banjos available from the "Rich Era" Custom Shop are few and far between. There is a letter between Greg Rich and Bryan England with this banjo for its authenticity.
