For Sale: 2011 Yates Ron Stewart Mahogany model.

Here is a 2011 Yates, Ron Stewart (RS33) mahogany model banjo for sale. This banjo was born on May 5, 2011, and the label is signed by Ron Stewart and Warren Yates. It features a “fat rim;” un-plated, no-hole venom tone ring; speed neck (stained, but not varnished); distress metal parts; and spikes at frets 6-10.

I purchased this banjo directly from Ron Stewart in late May of 2011 and have been the only owner since then. This banjo sounds incredible and has that rich, dry sound of a pre-war, flat-head, mahogany banjo. The only work done to this banjo is as follows: the head was replaced within the first year because the original one developed a small hole in it; and frets 1-9 have been replaced because of normal wear.

This banjo has been a good one and is in great shape. I believe whomever buys it will be well pleased with the way it performs, plays, and sounds. The banjo will be sold with all the original tuning keys. The capo, Keith Tuners, and strap will not be included in the sale.
