For Sale: Circa 1930 Slingerland Troubadour Tenor Banjo with case
Note: I have reduced the price by $500.00 - was $4950.
This is a very rare tenor banjo. SEE PHOTOS. Great action and a what a sound! Note the carved lion's head at the heel, original Troubadour tail piece, specially made Farquhar ebony bridge with diamond shaped pearl inlays on the front and back of each leg. The pearl diamonds in the bridge match the pearl diamonds inlayed in the ebony around the top of the resonator. Great detail on the engraved fret markers. The original tuners were replaced with Waverly's two-band gold plated banjo tuners. These look exactly the same as the old tuners which would not operate properly any more. The metal parts are engraved and gold plated. Note the engraved ship on the back. The Troubadour is inlayed abalone pearl. I think the condition is very good ++. I believe the case is original.
