This is a very nice 1928 Gibson TB-2 five string conversion banjo. The banjo is an original Pyramid with the addition of a nice maple conversion neck with Nick Lucas inlays, spikes at frets 6-11, prewar Presto Grover tailpiece, new style Remo head, Sullivan roasted maple bridge, original prewar Grover tuners for 1-4 strings, original single coordinator rod, single binding resonator, and a hard shell case. The banjo was professionally set up and it sounds absolutely wonderful. The banjo has a few scratches on the resonator here and there but is in overall excellent condition and has that great prewar Gibson sound. The banjo is also much lighter than other bluegrass banjos and is easier on those of us with bad backs. Thanks for looking.
