1930 Gibson TB1 5 String Conversion
This is a maple banjo with an original pot metal flange but has a new coordinator rod, tension hoop, tail piece, thumb screws and arm rest plus a new JD Crowe Tone ring. This also has an unknown 5 string conversion neck but whoever made it was definitely a professional. This banjo has some light button scratching in the original finish on the back of the resonator but this is definitely in good shape especially considering that this is as old as it is.
The banjo is set up to play and sound incredible and this really has that pre war sound. This is a great example of an old style 1 banjo and has absolutely no functional issues. Even the frets show almost no wear and are fat and round and meaty all the way down the neck. There are spikes at the 7th-10th frets.
This also includes a hardshell case. This has been completely inspected at the Banjo Warehouse and includes our Full Satisfaction Guarantee. If you have any questions at all please ask. Thanks!!!
