For Sale: 1930 Gibson Style 1 Conversion (sold)

This style 1 Gibson from 1930 is #9539-54. The banjo is a fat rim pot. The flange has been replaced, a victim with many of those early Gibson pot metal flanges of "zinc pest." Steve Huber turned and antique plated a new flange. The tension hoop has a repair that is solid, but I purchased a new Prucha pot metal hoop which is on the banjo. An original Pre-war Presto tailpiece has been punched by Jerry Keys. The Don Bryant professional quality neck has a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard hand cut inlaid by Clifford Seales. The banjo remains un-cut and sounds great in its original light weight tone hoop configuration. Mc Peake pancake tuners with Ron Barnes amber keystone buttons. Case included. No trades.

Would prefer to sell this regionally so the buyer can see and play the banjo prior to purchase.
