After getting my new Stelling, I have decided to sell my trusty Maple Blossom. I bought it from a collector in San Francisco in 2014, brought it back home to Saskatoon, and really cut my teeth as a musician with it. I've performed with it all over Western Canada, at Merlefest in North Carolina and in the UK, and it has served me very well. It's a great, versatile banjo. It sits in a very happy medium between bright and warm, and you can get many different tones out of it depending on how and where you play it. I find it's even suitable for clawhammer.
As far as I know, all parts are original, except for the Snuffy Smith bridge and new Remo head that I added a few years ago, and the Prucha Presto tailpiece that it came with. There are 5th string railroad spikes on frets 7, 9, 10 and 12.
It has a few cosmetic issues, but it still plays great. There is a belt buckle scratch on the finish on the resonator, a bit of fret wear, and wear on the Deering logo on the headstock. The 5th string peg can come out when the string is changed, but it doesn't affect anything when the string is on.
I will attach a few videos of me playing it in different styles in the More Info URL.
Let me know if you need any more information or videos!
