For Sale: 1929 Archtop TB-6 Conversion (expired) |
|
For sale is my 1929 Archtop TB-6 Conversion. FON: 9360-40. This is a 40-hole, raised head, burled maple archtop. I added a gold-plated and engraved reproduction TB-6 style armrest from Steve Huber. I am just looking to recoup (hopefully) most of what I paid and put into the banjo. This is a great and very powerful banjo.
The pot is mostly original with only a couple (4, I believe) replacement hooks. Original rim, tension hoop, clamshell tailpiece, etc. It comes with the original 4-string neck, which does have a repaired headstock crack.
The 5-string string neck is an unknown maker, but it is a quality neck. Recently upgraded with 10:1 Rickard tuners and professionally set up. This was purchased from Gruhn guitars in October of 2020. Happy to provide documentation of the purchase to confirm it's authenticity.
Currently fit with a 5-star head. Here are a couple of videos to demonstrate the sound.

Feel free to message with any questions, concerns, or more sound clips. $9,300.00 or best offer (within reason). Thanks!
