Gibson Recording King 1930
FON 9617-8, as accredited in Joe Spann's book.
This was the highest grade model made by Gibson for Montgomery Ward and is listed in their catalogue as model #507. It features many of the appointments found on high-end Gibson's including curly maple, two-piece flange (with hexagonal openings), gold plated and engraved hardware, twin co-ordinator rods, 40-hole archtop tone ring, Christmas lights binding as found on Florentine and Bella Voce models, the fingerboard inlays are identical to those used on the Style 6, straight neck, great frets, original plating, the woodwork was refinished decades ago, replacement hooks, modern tuners (the original Grovers with solid pearl buttons are included in the sale). Beautiful condition with no damage or repairs. OHSC.

Please note, I am in the UK.
