1929 Gibson Mastertone TB-3 (FON 9465-XX)
Good to very good overall condition. The original one-piece flange is flared, which is very common, especially with these early ones. However, there are no cracks or repairs to the flange. The tenor neck has been re-fretted and has a recent heel repair. Has period correct Grover pancake-style tuners. Three (3) of the originals are in the case pocket. The original tailpiece L bracket was cracked and has been replaced. (It's also included.)
Mahogany 'double bound' neck - Brazilian rosewood fretboard with 'leaves and bows' MOP inlay - mahogany resonator, 'double bound' with dual concentric rings - double cut peghead - 3-ply maple 'fat rim' (.640"-.645") - 40-hole raised head (archtop) tone ring - dual coordinator rods - notched tension hoop - round hooks - 'Grover Patent' Presto tailpiece - Rogers hide head. All hardware is nickel plated.
Will come shipped in a period correct hard case, which may or may not be original to the instrument.
