Here's a great example of the craftsmanship of Frank and Ricky Neat of Russell Springs, Kentucky. This banjo in many ways has the soul of a Granada with a curly maple neck, gold-plated hardware, and "extended" hearts and flowers inlays as seen on many plectrum Granadas of the 1930s. The fingerboard is beautifully figured Brazilian rosewood, the tailpiece is a clamshell type (also typical of a 1930s Granada), and the tone ring is a no-hole flathead by Bill Blaylock. The showstopper is a truly spectacular quilted maple resonator. This banjo is in like-new condition with the exception of some oxidation to the gold plating and some spots of missing plating on the tailpiece. Railroad spikes have been installed at frets 7, 9, and 10. The case is a faux-gator type with green lining. Complete photos and sound files are available at the "More Info" link below! Sorry, no trades.
