For Sale: REDUCED!>>>>>>Nice Gibson parts banjo built around 1954 Style 100 Pot (Or Best Offer) (expired) |
|
Serial number on Gibson style 100 pot is 4-885-51 (68 year old rim)…….this does make a difference! All metal is original 1954, being flange, tension hoop and hooks and nuts. I added the second co-rod and used steel Prucha rods. I also changed the L brackets to prewar style so pot does not sit in resonator as low as it does on the 100s and 250s…….IMO this makes an noticeable difference to my ear for overall better sound! Has been cut to accept a Huber HR30 nickel flathead ring that I acquired from Sammy Shelor of “Lonesome River Band” He played this ring in his Shelor model Huber for many years!. HR30 AS SPL2 5/20/09 weighing 3 lbs 1.5 ounces I made the neck for a customer in Colorado a few years back and he decided he wanted me to build a radius board neck and I was able to get this neck back from him. The inlay pattern is what Sammy's prewar flathead style 75 had. Frets are in great shape and neck plays and looks excellent. Nice hand cut inlays in a beautiful Brazilian board. Spikes @ A / B flat / B and C New Prucha Presto tailpiece says “Gibson” on back . .656 Roasted maple bridge with action height around .090 @ 12th fret. New Steve Gill prewar style resonator that we color matched to neck with proper binding tint as well! This is a great playing and sounding banjo ….you won’t be disappointed for sure. Ships in a good quality HSC> Price is $3850.00 plus actual shipping and insurance cost and only ships in the USA! I will give a 2 day approval…….if not completely satisfied you can send back to me in like condition and I will refund your money minus shipping costs.
