This is a stellar example of a Pre War Style 2 conversion Banjo.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description

This is a Pre War style 2 conversion with a Huber neck and Huber Vintage Tone Ring.  The banjo has all original Pre War Hardware and an original shell and resonator.  All that is new are the Tone Ring and Neck which were necessary for the conversion.

This has a Maple shell with a Walnut Neck and Resonator.  The fretboard is Rosewood with Hearts and Flowers.  This is a speed neck which means all of the finish has been sanded off of the back of the resonator.  All of the hardware is original Pre War Hardware and is in good shape.  This is a fantastic example of a Pre War Banjo.  This also includes a nice hardshell case.

Condition

The banjo is also in great shape.  The hardware does have some patina on it but it’s super clean for Pre War.  The flange has very little pull which is huge.  The finish looks great and is original.   The neck and fretboard are in great shape with clean frets and spikes at frets 7,8 and 9.  This is definitely in great shape and the case is clean also.

Set Up

This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  The head is a new Remo frosted head and is set to 90.  The bridge Huber and is properly intonated.  The strings are new Hiuber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays GREAT!!!  This is a phenomenal pre war that is set up for peak performance.
