Description

Ronnie Bales is absolutely a professional and respected builder.  However there are not a lot of Bales Banjos around so he is not really well known.  Do not let the obscurity of the Bales name fool you, this banjo is every bit of cannon that any other top tier banjo would be.  This is professional quality.

This has a maple shell with a beautiful walnut neck and resonator.  The resonator has concentric rings with purfling which is a really nice touch.  The fretboard is rosewood and the inlay is super cool.  It is sharp and classy.

The hardware is nickel which includes a one piece flange and 20 hole mastertone style tone ring.  This is absolutely top professional quality and will produce a lot of bang.

This comes in a Superior Hardshell Case.

Condition

This is in fantastic condition.  As usual this has been taken apart and cleaned at our shop.  The metal looks great. The finish has been waxed and looks great.  There is some checking in the resonator finish which is pictured.  Still the finish looks fantastic.

The frets and fretboard are also in great shape with spikes at frets 7,8 and 9.  The case is in great shape but one of the latches is broken.  The case still has several latches and has zero functional issues, plus is clean.

Set Up

This is set up with a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90.  The bridge is an Exclamation Point bridge.  I believe Curtis Mcpeake was involved with those.  This has new Huber strings.

This is 100% Pro Quality and is set up and ready to go.
