2009 Gibson RB75 JD Crowe Custom

Excellent condition. Only a few surface/wear scratches, a couple on resonator and a couple of little spots on tensioner where chrome has flaked off. See pics. Mahogany neck and resonator. All original as I bought it, except for neck and Prucha tailpiece I put on. New neck only couple years old made by luthier Richie Dotson. Original had broke at head stock. Paid for upgraded premium South American mahogany for neck. Built to specs of original neck, with thin profile. Beautiful sound that actually cracks like a maple up and down, bit still has warm mahogany sound. Perfectly set up and fitted to rim by Richie. Kulesh ring as shown in pic. Spikes at 7,8, and 9. This is a special banjo in that it was one of the last made at Gibson and includes signatures of the hands that made this banjo inside the resonator. I corresponded with Ed Weber who signed it, and verified. The best I could get as to the story of this banjo is that it was perhaps a kind of commemorative build in the late Charlie Derrington's honor. His wife's signature is the most prominent. Charlie was head over Gibson Mandolin at one time as I understand. I've included working links with pictures when this banjo had previously been for sale.
