Description

This is a Pre Owned Huber Jim Mills Banjo that really Barks.  This is a Vintage Series and features the Huber Vintage Shell and Vintage Tone Ring.  These Banjos do not come up for sale often and this is a clean example.

This has a Maple Huber Vintage Shell with a Mahogany Neck and Resonator.  The neck is a Speed Neck.  The Fretboard is Rosewood with a Leaves and Bows inlay pattern.  The hardware is gold and includes a Huber Vintage Tone Ring and a One piece flange.  The Tone Ring is also engraved as is the armrest and tailpiece.  This has Keith D Tuners and Waverly Tuners which are all Gold.

This banjo has a lot of volume and power however the Gold mellows it out a bit.  If you want a very special banjo that is a very special design this is it.  This also includes a very nice Deluxe Archtop Hardshell Case.

Condition and Set Up

This banjo is in fantastic shape and has been cleaned in our shop.  The gold is in fantastic shape, it has a nice shine and is virtually entirely intact.  The finish is in great shape as well, all of the wood looks really good.  The frets and fretboard are in excellent shape all the way down the board and there are spikes at frets 7,8,9 and 10.  This banjo is gorgeous and was barely used.

This is set up with a new Remo head which is set to 90.  This has a Huber Bridge and new Huber strings.  The banjo is a great example of a Pre War Gibson at a great price and is set up to maximize performance.
