For Sale: 1921 Vega X9 11 3/8" - Wyatt Fawley Conversion

A wonderful conversion of a rare size Vega pot from 1921. 11 3/8" Tubaphone X9 with the original dowel stick. Pot is very clean with a little bit of brassing on the tenor side of the tension hoop.. Has a beautiful John Balch 4 star head. Conversion was done by the late Wyatt Fawley and uses original mandolin fretwire for that original feel. the neck was never played after conversion - it is literally in new condition - with unused Five Star tuners. Comes in an older hardshell case

Banjo plays and sounds like a dream - a perfect compromise between an 11" and 12" banjo.
