This old B&D Silver Bell 1 has, a flathead Silver Bell tonering under the hood. It gives this thing a huge amount of volume, snap, and cut that's best-used for the chord-chopping accompaniment that trad-jazz bands require to break through their wall of brass. Currently tuned as tenor banjo, CGDA, but would accept Irish tuning as well
Very loud, original knee mute and Oettinger tailpiece, has a removable pick guard and pick holder
It also has an under the bridge pick up
Straight neck, frets show little wear, they still have playing life
