1999 Gibson RB-6 Custom-Order Banjo – Gold Sparkle Finish, Bella Voce Engraving
Offered for sale is an exceptionally rare near mint 1999 Gibson RB-6 custom-order 5-string banjo. Inspired by Gibson’s legendary prewar Style 6 Mastertone banjos, this instrument features highly flamed maple and the striking gold sparkle pearloid appointments that made the original RB-6 one of Gibson’s most visually distinctive and collectible models.
What sets this banjo apart is its elaborate custom Bella Voce-style engraving, a highly unusual feature not found on standard production RB-6 instruments. The gold-plated hardware is extensively engraved, creating a unique combination of two of Gibson’s most celebrated prewar banjo designs.
