The RB-3 is one of Gibson’s staple banjos featuring mahogany resonator and neck, ebony fingerboard, and a bright punchy sound. During this era, Gibson was using the sought after Kulesh tone ring, maple rim, and one piece flange. This has moderate playwear mainly on the head and oxidation on the metal parts/ The inside resonator is signed by Ralph Stanley and documented by the previous owner.
