The Deering John Hartford Model Banjo was inspired by John’s love for steamboats and early American Banjos. The wooden tonering makes it several pounds lighter while still producing a crisp bright tone with a nice warm roundness.
This Hartford has a big round tone that is full bodied with great bass and sweet highs. With the Grenadillo wood tone ring, it has a more woody tone but still retains great responsiveness, crispness, and ring. It’s just a wonderfully musical sounding banjo. This one is super unique and has a CARVED HEEL, the only one we've seen like this. Super light banjo, weighs approximately 9 pounds. Fresh setup, this one plays and sounds great!
