For Sale: Recording King Prototype, Greg Rich, made in USA

For sale is my late 1990s Greg Rich, USA made Recording King gold, maple resonator banjo with engraved armrest and Presto tailpiece.

This banjo is in excellent condition and the tone is clean and clear. Excellent tonal qualities from the 3-ply rim fitted with a Tennessee 20 tone ring. This is truly one of the most gorgeous banjos I have had the pleasure of playing, and an example of Greg Rich's artistry with the engraving and abalone inlays.

There is some wear on the arm rest, a bit of smudging on the tailpiece, and almost no fret wear. It's hard to believe a nearly 30 year old banjo would still be in such stellar condition. The gold plating and engraving is stunning. A very nice hard case in very good to excellent condition is included.

This is an opportunity to own one of the few USA made Recording King prototypes manufactured by Greg Rich. Greg is one of the greatest banjo designers and luthiers in the last 80 years, and this banjo shows it.
