This is an extremely rare gold-plated Iucci Style 3, 19-fret tenor banjo, fully set up and ready to be played immediately. Iucci banjos were made in NYC in the late 1920s and are considered to be very high-quality banjos and great collectibles (see linked discussion forum for extensive information on Iucci). Aside from their rarity, these banjos are absolute cannons - they have a resonator width of 14 and 1/4 inches, and that size is greatly reflected in the volume that these banjos put out. This banjo is in incredible condition for its age, and features gorgeous gold-plating and intricate neck inlay. This instrument also features a rare, factory-original mute, as seen attached to the side of the pot. This banjo comes with a period-correct hard shell case, and weighs in at just over 13 pounds. The banjo is setup for Irish tuning, GDAE, with a top frosted head. This specific banjo is located in Carlisle, PA - local pickup or buyer pays shipping, can ship overseas. Price is in USD, priced competitively based on Style 3 valuation from 2015 value assessment (see discussion URL).
