This is banjo #189, my second tackhead rim banjo. A holdover from the end of last year, having just recently completed it.
Specs:
• Two-piece walnut neck, fretted walnut fingerboard and peghead overlay
• 23” scale length
• copper wire side dots
• 1 3/8” nut width
• single-ply, lap-jointed curly white ash rim, ~11 7/8” diameter, 3” deep, 1/4” thick
• goatskin head, stained with crushed walnut hulls
• ash hunters star peghead inlay, with six walnut inlays encircling the rim
• Pegheds tuning pegs
• ebony tailpiece with copper wire tailgut
• strung with Aquila Minstrels for low D and E tuning
